Metalfest in Pilsen traditionally marks the kickoff of the Czech festival summer. Taking place in in the beautiful Amfiteátr Lochotìn, as the name would suggest an amphitheater located close to the zoo in Pilsen in Lochotìn park, will feature a solid mix of mostly mainstays in the Czech festival billings, headlined by German metal legends ACCEPT with a 50th anniversary show and Tobias Sammet’s AVANTASIA, as well as the final Czech show of Brazilian groove metallers SEPULTURA.

But not only the headliners make solid cases for a visit to the festival, as the supporting cast also sports some great names, like Peter Tägtgren’s PAIN, Swiss hard rockers GOTTHARD, ORPHANED LAND, CHARLOTTE WESSELS, Bay Area thrashers ANTHRAX as well as KAMELOT and BATTLE BEAST.
